I was commissioned by Faber & Company, a Birmingham-based design company, to create a series of paintings for St Martins Lodge, a boutique hotel in Leicester, as part of the hotel's interior design.

Working in situ over several months, I painted around the streets of Leicester, using ink applied with a twig, watercolour washes and touches of pastel to capture the character and atmosphere of the city. I also created paintings of the Leicestershire countryside for the collection.

I supplied around 30 different giclée images and reproductions for the hotel, along with several larger original paintings commissioned for the interiors. I worked closely with the printer throughout the giclée printing process, approving final prints and specifying sizes, and worked with the designer on image selection and framing dimensions. I also maintained the artwork specification sheet — image sizes, framing dimensions, quantities, titles and item numbers.
