URBAN LEICESTER 2018 - 2019
A series of paintings exploring Leicester and its streets, including several commissioned works for St Martins Lodge, a boutique hotel in the city.
Over several months, I sketched outdoors most days, gradually getting to know the city through its streets, people and history. I worked quickly, using a twig with Indian ink and watercolour, with touches of Unison pastel, capturing fleeting impressions of movement and atmosphere.
I was delighted when Cank Street Gallery, Leicester (now closed), offered to exhibit and sell the work..
